1.把握適合的語場
語場, 即話語范圍, 是指在交際過程中實際發(fā)生的事, 以及參與者所從事的活動, 其中語言活動是重要組成部分。外貿(mào)英語的語場既包括外貿(mào)工從事的各種進出口業(yè)務(wù)活動, 又包括他們用以表達進出口業(yè)務(wù)的語言。在外貿(mào)活動中, 為了達到有效交際, 主要語言活動必須緊緊圍繞著貿(mào)易活動這個話題進行, 貿(mào)易工必須使用能夠有效表達這個話題的語言項目, 如貿(mào)易術(shù)語、貿(mào)易習(xí)慣用語、固定語法和語篇格式(例如國際貿(mào)易定價單、合同)等。也就是說, 外貿(mào)英語的語域在很大程度上是由語場來決定的。在國際貿(mào)易的悠久歷史中, 其詞匯、語法結(jié)構(gòu)、習(xí)慣用語等已經(jīng)形成了許多固定表達方式, 而這些表達方式大多數(shù)是由語場決定的。在外貿(mào)英語翻譯時, 譯者必須使用表達國際貿(mào)易語言意義的詞匯和習(xí)慣用語,也應(yīng)當(dāng)符合外貿(mào)英語的語場義。
